Default Carb Vs Injected

can a 5.0 make as much power with a carb as it does with injector. if so what size or does it go by HP rather engine size. thanks

yet another reason to have an FAQ section!!! efi only gives you more power if it is programmed right, which is very expensive. carbs are easy to adjust and get the a/f ratio correct. so if you want to spend a good amount of cash (&gt;$1000) to get the efi right, then you will make a little more power. if not, go carb. you wont lose much power. as for the size, ask the manufacturer. i know that demon carbs actually flow 10% better than they are rated. the manufacturer will know what you should run with your setup.</P>

good question, ask that to my mom. i dont have one yet (im 16, turn 17 august 31) and she wont let me get a car till im 17. but when i get mine i will convert it to carb. </P>

that great. when you get a car what will you run and how do you know so much read alot.

i know alot about cars from following other forums about cars and taking all of the auto courses at school. i have been a gearhead since i was born and have been fooling around with engines since a young age. if you want to learn how to tune a carb go buy a nitro powered rc car, thats how i learned! plus they are a lot of fun. i have been fooling around with that for a couple of years and that is where i got most of my engine knowledge. </P>

sweet, i got a t-maxx with a phantom .15, pro-line suspension stuff, trinity springs, other little crap. they are tons of fun. i have jumped mine 25 feet. since you know how to tune a carb then go for it!!</P>

Default Carb Vs Injected

You'll want to look into a 600-650 for a relatively mild 302.

Then you can turn around and sell the upper/lower intake, MAF and computer, injectors, throttle body, fuel pump, etc.
