Wrong section??? Never said i wasnt gonna race him was just wondering what everyine thought about my chances. what is the point in racing someone if you are positive you are gonna beat them that wouldnt be fun. My friend is wanting to buy a 3000gt like that and i told him to buy a muscle car and he started talking crap bout the import being faster. so i told him i would beat the import and then he could buy him a muscle car. he said he would look into getting a stang if beat his buddy.

you told him to buy a muscle car???? so you told him to buy a mid 60s ot early 70s car. you muscle car right???

and stealth rt and the vr4 are both mid 13s stock.. there problem is that they are heavy. but they have a nice advantage of being able to launch higher and harder since they have awd. they can launch up around 5k or more if needed. not sayin the transfer case is going to hold up long.

The newer ones are around 13.5 - 13.8. They're much like the WRX, they must rely on the launch to win anything at all.

you quoted that out of a book or is it your personally experience??? they claim high 14s for you typical stang. and the average decent driver can get his fox low 14s or high 13s.

my answer was based on what ive seen at the track.. and look above it says launching at 5k.
