Default Suggested Parts PLEASE

I've almost got the money for my 351 Windsor and I was want to know what parts could get me my best bang for my buck. I want to go Carburated, and emissions arn't a problem for where I live. My goal is to have a 500 hp NA car, it could be over a bit or under a bit im happy anywhere from 400-600 but Can someone please suggest some parts for me? I know nothing about Performance or Quality or how long certain brands would last. So far from reading the forums I see that lots of you like the Demon (something) carbs and Track(think its track not sure or its Trick) Flow Intakes. But if someone actually does respond to this could you state specific parts too? I hear the biggest isnt necisarraly the best when it comes to engines. And some things work better with others. Thanks if anyone does respond becauseI know im asking a bit much.

really?</P>

like 3 parts n im there?</P>

"f***in A"</P>

</P>

But I was really looking for a near Complete list of parts tho</P>

Because I dont want to spend money on something that will just decrease my performance. Like how a better/bigger/? throttle body on a stock engine wont do anyting? Dunno think i read that somewhere, and it will decrease performance. If anyone would kindly take the time I'd GREATLY appreciate it. I mean what would be your DREAM 351 Windsor? lets go from there? </P>

heh this would be much easier if it were more like the Gran Turismo games, Just buy racing everything and NA Tune Stage 3! Oh well, I'm looking forward to helping piece it all together (prolly just be a gopher n watch). And if you give a parts list could you also give an estimate of cost? Doesnt have to be exact just a Guesstimate or whatnot. Thanks again if you respond

Well i would NEED it streetable, so maybe i should keep it 400-500 hp NA? Don't want Nitrous really, have it already in my 302 and its burning oil now because of it. It's going to be Daily driven but I don't really care TOO much about MPG, and as long as I don't have to get Racing fuel...</P>

So what I want is a:</P>

400-500 HP N/A Carb'd EngineThats streetable on Pumpgas. Emissions arn't a problem either. Already have the cowl hood so engine can fit nicely (4" cowl).</P>

Currently running 4.10 gears aswell, am i going to need a new rear end and a new exhaust? I knowI'll need new headers right?</P>

well anyways Thanks hotrod, for taking the time to write a list for me in a little while(which ill cherish forever tilI getthem on the engine<IMG src=smileys/smiley14.gif border="0">) But now I need to look for the 351w block. searching ebayand yahoo n such not really finding anything. I'll check like50resto and summit later tonight butI got to go right now. Thanks again</P><edited><editID>Obsol3te</editID><editDate>38012.5755555556</editDate></edited>

well to start your carbed engine doesnt have a throttle body, so you sont need to worry about that. i havent drawn up a windsor yet but im sure i would get most of it from www.summitracing.com and many of the parts would be made by trick flow (www.trickflow.com). im sure it would have a demon carb and a hooker swap headers (you need those to put it in). i would probably use a Summit fuel system and i would have solid engine mounts. seaqled power high volume oil pump, Speed Pro bearings, Moroso oil pan. and you can plan on ripping up the rear end and the tranny with over 500 hp <IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0"></P>

DSS Racing is a place to check out... they have 408 strokers for about $1399 which is one place to startthat wouldput you around the horsepower you want for sure. 10.1 compression, good heads, 600+ lift cam, etc, etc
