Default ?rollor lifters?

im rebuild my engine and im just wonder if i can put my lifters in a coffe can with motor oil in it while its down or just leave them out i herd that if you sumurge the in oil thay like lock up or somethin or you dont get the right tourqe on the rockers!! let me know

You will be fine putting them in oil. Do you understand how hydraulic lifters work?

I dont even fully understand how they work all I know is that they are liquid filled to prevent whatever I donno and not a solid peice of steel.

Since I pretty much suck at putting what I'm trying to say into words I'll refer you to crane's site. Also it has instructions on adjusting pre load. Maybe it should be stickied?

you can't put them in a coffee can they must be placed in a campbells soup can, tomato is the best.
