hey whats up, i am working my way up to be ready for summer and my 4th gear doesnt work on my aod transmission. any reason why it might be doing this. twhen i got into 4th it just acts as if i went into neutral. should i jsut have the whole thign rebuilt for racing with valvebody shift kit and tc ? whats all of your opinions on this <IMG src=smileys/smiley19.gif border="0">

your overdrive band is gone. look for your third gear to be going soon. your going ot need a rebuild soon.

with the C4 you dont have overdrive. and overdrive is needed for a DD or for a ride that does any highway duties

yeah this is gonna be my main summer ride, so should i rebuild the aod i have and thrown in a shift kit/valve body that will shift harder and maybe a torque converter. how muhc do you all think a rebuild would cost ?

rebuild depends on how you want it done. like i did the whole rebuilt tranny but it didnt last for me. im going witht a ART CARR tranny for around 1500 bucks. already set up for the strip. just need to supply my stall.

average rebuild for a AOD was around 800 i priced.
