How to confirm real 25th anniversary GT
Anyone know how I can check the VIN to my 90GT tosee if it is a real 25th Anniversary model...it has the tag, but so did my 90 Notch.
Is black and came with a sunroof...

Answered my own question...found this:
As a token commemoration of the Mustang’s 25th anniversary, Ford placed a small running horse emblem engraved with the words “25 Years” on the passenger side dash of all Mustangs manufactured from mid-April 1989 to late production 1990. This, of course, included Mustangs from both model years 1989 and 1990. Mustangs sold during this time period also had the same running horse emblem pictured in the background of the window sticker. After 1990, the running horse emblem remained on the dash without the “25 Years” engraving at the bottom.

some 89s and 90s both had the tag. all stangs built between march/april 1989 and the middle of the '90 model year had it.

My dad's 91 vert has 25th anniversary on the dash. Weird.

There is no actual 25th anniversary GT models... although to commemorate the 1989 and 1990 models they had the dash emblem that read "25 years"... the only recognized 25th anniversary model in the "Ford Special Editions" book, was the 1989special order (500 total) 5.0 Mustang LX "CFD" (Carolina Ford Dealers) 25th anniversary special edition which was a top NASCAR sponsor and Jeff Gordon's 1st ride.
