87-93...not a big fan of the 4-eyes, but to each their own! 94-95's are nice looking, and can be made to look even nicer.

I like 85-86 best. I've owned a 86, current 87 and an 04 previously liked the looks of the 86 the best. As for racing they can all be modified to the same extend and really which one is better is all just a matter of opinion. Theres way to many variable to classify one better then the other.

1993 hands down .. why ? simply because it was the last year of the fox .. in 20 years no one will care about the 88 to 92 .. they will want the first or last .. So what if it doesnt have forged pistons .. how many of you guys have a stock motor anyway come on lol .. and the airbag ive recently learned it can be converted by simply switching it with an 89 column which i intend to do in the next couple of weeks as i own a 1993 GT ...AND the 94 -95are just dam ugly if you ask me : o)

The steering column is easy to swap to tilt. I swapped my whole '83 interior to '93 ( elec harness too), then didn't likethe airbag wheel so changed the column to '89. I remember the turn signal multi-function switch being a problem though, because the connector pins are in different positions, so keep both just in case. I think you have to use the '93 switch, but I'm not positive.

+1 on the 87 GT T-Top and I never plan to sell her, because I know I would regret it.
