I just wanted to say "thanxs" for posting pics and answering questions for myself and other people on the forum. I know it has to take alot of time and patience to put all your progress on here for everyone to see. Are you going to show a teardown and build up on the engine also?

capri front end + mustang back end = something unique and awsome looking
thoughts?
My brothers and I have done something similar to that in the past. Took an 79 Capri body and updated it with all the stuff from a wreaked 90 5.0 LX and full Saleen ground effects. Don't have any pictures of it and my brothers ex-wife got the car unfortunately, but looked just like a 90 Saleen Hatch but with the Capri fenders. The Capri got the best looking fender treatment IMO.

If you'd like to see the engine built step by step... sure. I don't have a lot of pics of me tearing it down, but I have plenty of the build up though. The part of this threadI can't wait to post is the "Parts Porn" section where close to $13,000 worth of brand new parts are spread out on my dining room floor. My g/f was making fun of me when I was taking the pictures... she said, "You're acting like a photographer for Playboy magazine!" LOL.
I removed the front clip to inspect the frame, bumper and radiator support.
All looked good exceptthe upper radiator support. The previous owner rear-ended a truck and bent it up pretty good. He tried to straighten it out with a hammer and then welded a flat piece of steel on the top. Totally crappy repair!
So I cut it out and got a replacement part from a junked Mustang.
After some trimming, hammering and a lot of measuring... I got it clamped in place andready to weld in.
After I finished welding it, I re-checked my measurements and smoothed the welds with a grinder then primed it.
Turned out nice... looks like it was never wrecked.
