i had a c&l 73 mm and a set of 24#'s for my 306 setup but ditvhed that for (traded ) it for a new pro-m 75mm (dont know a lot about it but have heard there alright ) and a set of 30#'s with less than a thousand miles traded strait across good deal i think. but i have heard great things about the pmas
Its hasa 255 in tank fuel pump, the 42# injectors and C&L were my idea I was just starting to buy things for the car and I was 17 at that time and all I could think is bigger is better. Its has a A-1000fuel pressure regulator that is set at 35psi it was set higher but it was just running way to rich and all i could do is lower the pressure to try to make it run better. I have not had it on the dyno yet or really messed with the timing yet its set at 12 or 13 deg.I also have a problem with the tranny a big problem, I bought from a company in FL. and got the shaft, they didnt say anything about them going out of business when i called them to make the trany, It was suppose to a AODcompletley builtbut in the end I got a stock AOD that dosent even have reverse. The 2800 stall converter will not stall and is completley locked up from 1000 RPM's, And when I get on the car and shift it from 1 to 2 it takes about 3/4 sec. just to shift. Its goin to go at any time. BUT I went to the strip yesterday and ran the car and was actually pleased to see what it ran, 13.365 @ 106MPH and a 13.249 @ 109MPH considering my 60 foot time was horrible launching a 1000 R's, running rich, un tuned, and the tranny about to break 60 foot was 2.879. The custom Flowtech cams powerband is from 3400 rpm to 6700rpm and after about 70 to 80 feet the car would really open up. SO i think the MPH is impressive for the 60 foot time.

There and more than one roblem with the car. First thing is its running rich and it should with those 42# injectors so im running an A-1000 fuel pressure regulator at 35 psi to try to make the injectors work better but still rich. It has an idel surge once in a while and I think that is the C&L doing that. I dont know it just seems like it isnt running like it should performance wise and im sure its because its runnig rich and it hasn't been dynoed and tuned im sure the tuning whill wake it up. I dont know if any of you guysknow who Bob Kurgan is or have heard of him but hes been running NHRA in the renegades classfor a long time and is a big mustang freak and hes goin to do the tuning on my car he said he can get it down to around an low 11sec car on motor considering griping up and what not. But the biggest problem is the tranny, some how I had a tranny built buy a company in FL. that was goin out of business and they didn't tell me that so they sent me a $1,200 dollar unrebuilt stock AOD that dosent even have reverse, the tranny is completely locked up when I put it in 1st, drive, or over drive. But I did bring it to the Drag strip yesterday to see what it would do as is and it didnt do to bad in my eyes considering running rich and the timing being only at 12 or 13 deg. The custom Flowtech Induction's cam has a powerband from 3500RPM to 6800RPM and the car is launching at 1000RPM because the trannys locked up right out of the getgo. my 60 foot was a horrible 2.689 and the motordidnt really open up till a little after that but then it pulled hard. with the 60 foot killing me it still ran a 13.3@ 106MPH a 13.2@ 109 MPH.

I had a C&L for a while, but the check engine light would always come on and my scanner would throw a code for the mass air sensor. Actually it seemed to run pretty good with the C&L, but I finally ditched it in favor of the Granatelli unit. No more codes after that.
