got a bone stock 92 now what?
ok just got a bone stock 92 hatch dont know where to start really. i have plans to go to the 5 lug wheels and i want the car to handle and make about 450hp to 500 to the tires prolly with a turbo but i want to do all of this with parts other ppl allready bought so i pretty much need a list of what i should do to it.

well, for one thing, if your gonna run a turbo, your gonna need to upgrade the fuel system the motor itself and among that, a good deal of work to make that power. your deff gonna need to upgrade the block, the stock 302 block cracks inthe 400-500hp range, so your best bet is to upgrade to a stronger block... your gonna need much better heads, stock heads are trash, a full exhaust, a larger intake, throttle body...

MAX stock block handing is usually around 500rwhp, but people do run more....
I take it you have the budget for all of this ? Are you making this a project only car, or do you need to drive it often ? Those mods you listed arent the quickest to install. You'll also need a good dyno tune afterwards
Gears would be the first mod i would install. Do suspension work also. If your gonna have all that power you need it to hook up.

i assume that where you work or your business, must not work on a lot of mustangs, based on your lack of knowledge, but you got some serious work to do to get to 500 rwhp, pretty much what everyone else has said

If you have the funds get a 347 stroker kit, some good flowing heads ( AFR, partriot, edelbrock....etch) a nice cam, possibly custom, a larger intake, all supporting fuel mods, and a big ol blower. That should get you there.

I would start small and then later down the road after you have thought of all the major mods you can go from there.
First get a cold air intake, exhaust (flowmaster, magnaflow, stingers, MAC catback, Xpipe, H-pipe,etc those are all good), get some gears, a tune, bigger injectors, and other little things.
That would get you started and you will be over the stock hp line. Think of what you REALLY want on the car for awhile and then you can go from there afterwords. Maybe a S/C... I kinda think single turbos on a 5.0 arnt to great, twin turbo on a 5.0 is beastly!
