viper motor in a fox?

RE: viper motor in a fox?
The engine has to sit low.
If you look at one underneath, youll find yourself needing to modify your cowl tunnel , frame and K member EXTENSIVELY. And run a whole custom suspension.
If you have those types of metal fabrication skills, go work for a construction company and get $$$$$$$$$.
Ive seen quite a few guys on here with decent welding and fabrication skills. There is alot of cash in that.

For the kind of money it would take, I would build a hellacious 351W or 351C stroker, pair it with a nice TKO600, get the car painted and put nice rims/tires/suspension on it. Then go on vacation and still be money ahead.....maybe a slight exxageration, but not by much.

Yeah, saw a V10 SN95 on TV years ago, think it was on Horsepower TV or one of those weekend car shows. It was a test mule of some sort, for a Shelby or Cobra that was obviously never built. In fact I think Carroll was driving it.
I remember they did a break stand with it and the front brakes couldn't hold the car back. Front brakes were locked and the car was still pushing forward at a fast rate with the rear tires up in smoke....crazy!

puttin a viper v10 is quite possibly the stupidest thing u could do, no wait u could put a chevy or a honda motor that might be worse, but the v10 is not a good engine, and for the money you could build a 1000 hp bbf and a 200 shot and still have money to spend on hookers or something.

why would you violate a perfectly good fox with a dodge engine? use the ford v-10 and so what if it shoots spark plugs outa the heads. besides that you wont be able to make any turn at more than 10mph. well to each his own and if yah do happen to do it put a vid on Youtube id love to see it.

Actually, the Viper V10 is a great engine. Would throw a fox around quite well, and still be a relyable, streetable engine. Heck, a 500hp NA windsor motor is really pushing streetability.
As to the engine weight thing, the Viper engine is somewhere int he neighborhood of 500 pounds, since it has aluminum heads and block that is wayyyyy less then the Modular V10, and actually right around the windsor in weight, and probably still less than a 5.4l mod motor.
What you really need to think about, are the hassles of putting a Viper V10 in a fox worth the end result? I think it would make for a very unique car,
one that would be hella fast.
