Rod bearing and or a main bearing.....and someone probably has run the **** out of it!! and looks as if someone doesn't know how to install the dizzy correctly......looks as if they got it off a few teeth!!!

depending on how bad the knock is, could it be an exhaust leak?

bent crankshaft, check the oil for little metal flakes. If it looks like someone sprinkled pixie dust in the oil, walk away.

i disagree, if you are buying it as a full car, say no, if your going to have it as a project (just like the title says) it sounds great. t-tops 4 eye body with what looks like no damage for under 2k. good buy if you want to drop a new motor in it
