heatercore changed but i see drips under car
I just changed the heatercore last weekend and haven't drove the car until today... I get home and i see coolant drips on ground....
It's coming from the little valvle in firewall...thats where when it blew all the coolant came out of.
Does this mean i have a bad heatercore which is brand ****ing new? If so i'm not doing that job over again.
WTF

It could be residual left over in the box working it's way out from previous failure...if it keeps doing it then you may have a problem with the new one[:@] pressure test the system and look for leaks

Are you sure it isn't just leaking from a hose?

Look at it this way, worse case scenario you broke the new heater core installing it.[sm=sorry.gif]
I ALWAYS pressure test a new heater core before installing.
That way you know who to MOTHER FOCK!
Before and after if it leaks.
Before you install or after you broke it.........[sm=smiley16.gif]
Aquickpressure test on the core againbefore buttoning it up, saves you a whole bunch of unnecessary work.[sm=happybounce.gif]

By any chance you didn't happen to put the hoses on the heater core tubes and then twist or remove them did you??
If you did you may have possibly broke the soldier joint and the tube is no longer attached to the heater core.
I wonder how I would know that?
Yep.... it's a brand new heater core that it happened to.

It's not that bad of job, just takes time to pull everything out/down. It helps to have a bud...
Sorry to hear your news but I would bet it's bad. Where did you buy it?
