RE: whats your beef with fram?
I read a hug post on here about different brands of oil and oil filter, fuelfilters. I said fram sucked. Just changed my fram fuel filter w/ a napa one, wanted Motorcraft though. I say if its not much more money to replace parts with OEM then do it. Checker gave me the run around on a PCV valve for 2.99 gromment for 99. I said screw it and went OEM (PCV 12.99, grommet 8.99...not much more and your 100% you got the right part.

RE: whats your beef with fram?
I used to run Fram years back with no problems on my old GMC, but I have seen some (first hand ) with the internals collapsed on some Fords. I know the drainback valve is very weak and may cause dry starts.
Nowadays, the Ranger only gets Motorcraft 400s, and the Fitty gets Wix 51515. (I have also used a Purolator made Bosch on it before and it was perfectly fine) but the Wix is one up on the Bosch as it has a front mounted bypass valve where the Bosch had a rear mounted one.

not really, walmart will buy substandard products that look the same, just to make a larger profit
