Default 94/95 5.0L or 96-98 4.6L Mustang

Which would be the better buy? Is the 5.0 a little easier to work with? Pros and cons of each?

Id go with the 5.0 Alot cheaper to mod and work on if you ask me. Take a look at the major websites and do a price comparison.

I love my 5.0 pushrod, but you cant argue with the modulars. If I were you I'd get the 4.6 sinch the performance parts market seems to be slowly shifting toward the modular engines. There seems to be alot more options when modding a modular engine, plus you can decide to swap in bigger modular later. Different people will tell you different things, but this is my broad opinion!

I prefer my 95 to my 98 to be honest. Most everyone rags on the 96-98 Gt's but they are still a lot of fun and can have the same mods as the newer ones. I just put an 03 manifold on my 98 and it makes it pull harder in the higher revs. Both of mine are comparably modded, and i still like the 95 more. They are similar though.

Not even a debate... 5.0 all the way. My only complaint about my car is that I didn't buy an SN-95. Now I have to do all the upgrades that the '94-'95 cars got "for free" from Ford.

I do love my Fox though... I'd like to have one of each in a perfect world.

non-P.I. 4.6 FTL.

5.0 is easier to work on, is cheaper, and has huge aftermarket support.

the choice is an easy one for me.....5.0!

unless it's a Cobra. I personally would never want a SOHC 4.6 but that's just my opinion. 4.6s are great engines though capable of a lot of power, just depends on what you want.
