Default Just bought my 1st Fox a 92 GT

Have alot of learning to do and a few questions for you guys who know all this stuff.

What are the bennifits of

* deeper oil pan

* long tube short tube equal or unequal length headers

* x and h pipes

* the cheapest way to do a 5 lug conversion

* better aftermarket radiator

* electric fan

*taking off the smog pump

* ummmmm???

I have so many questions and so many things i want to do to my car, I love this car wish I had it when I was 17...or maybe not lol,

basicall im trying to build a 11 second weekend date car, something i can enjoy for fun throughout the years.

so far i've got

lunati cam
afr heads
bassani x pipe w/cats (want them gone for the louder sound is that a hard removal if not how)
edel brocl intake
c&l 73mm
bbk CAI fender mount
19lb injectors going with 24lb.
gonna get a fuel pressure regulator, whats i good one to get?
there may be more im forgetting?

I want this car to stay naturally aspirated and what are the power benifits to a aluminum drive line?

oh yeah i wanna lower it would 1 inch be fine for performance and handling?

thats it for now i will be back to learn more from you guys, any advice on the best prices out there for parts please throw me some links =)

I gave up sport bikes for this ride!!! got get it rolling like i want it now

-Cheers

my opinion

1. more oil capacity(you dont really really need this)

2. shortys are usually cheaper. longtubes are usually best, but longtubes are hard to put on and require a shorter h or x pipe

3. this argumentwill never die. x for the best performance, people usually perfer the sound of the h pipe though. Pypes has a pretty good catless x pipe fpr arpund 100.

4. 2 drivers side(or passenger, cant remember) axels from an older ford ranger, and search for the best front rotors

5. run more consistant temps

6. frees up hp because the belt doesnt have to turn it, faster warm ups.

7. frees up things that the belt has to turn.
8. ummm

your first upgrades should be...an exhaust and gears. (sound and speed)

hey you guys rock!!!

fast straight forward info, im stoked.

So i will post up pics of my gorgeous 92 GT very soon

it has 46k original miles and was garaged its entire life never rain driven, leather interior with the emerald green and grey two tone factory paint that still looks like new!

so I already have 3:73 gears and exhaust but im not happy with my exhaust set up currently, not loud enough and i dont want any cats, atleast i think no cats mean free'er flowing exhaust and louder corect?

this car has all its parts already on the car when i bought it 3 days ago. its netting 283HP and was told it will run low 12's with slicks and 12.8 with street tires. I want to get over 300hp and run 11 to mid 11's and sound like the world is comming to an end when i rev it! lol
