clay bar?

Default clay bar?

will a clay bar take out hairline scratches?

ive got a few light scratches and swirls in the paint... as well as plenty of contaminates I bet. will I clay bar get it all out?

It won't touch scratches, but it does work good at getting off contaminents and fall out. Be gentle with it so it won't give you any more scratches, and if it falls on the ground, you need to throw it away...

the best way to go about it is wet sand it and in various stages of compound buff to shine ..meguiers makes good products to do such

thanks guys, I was debating on what to do about some of the scratches...

I saw that swirl/scratch remover hows that stuff work on dark cars?

you really need a variable speed buffer to attack such a job and do it right and car must be clean of all debris and use proper buff rags

The wet sand buff is the best way, if you did your whole car your paint job would look almost new

A few weeks ago I did the paint detail thing. I used McGuier's scratch X, clay bar, car wash, and wax. The results were incredible. I spent just about the entire day but it was worth it. All swirl marks and scratches were gone.

clay bar itself wont take out scratches small hairline scrtaches can come out with a nice compound and a buffer or you can do it by hand but a buffer would work better
