Default Torque Boxes/rear suspension ???

I am nearing the suspension portion of the build on my 89lx convertible. I am trying to decide on what parts i want to get for every day street use. If i understand correctly, the torque box is where the upper control arm mounts. Is this right? I am looking at a rear grip package from maximum motorsports. It comes with a 3pc. panhard bar setup and lower control arms. I have to buy the upper separate. Is there one or two uppers? I would just go crawl under there and look but i'm in iraq. I have heard that a rubber bushing uca is good with a panhard bar so it won't damage the torque box. I have done a search trying to find torque box reiforcement kits but i'm not having much luck. I have also heard that stiffer urathane bushings can be used if the torque boxes are reinforced. Or perhaps even one with a spherical ball joint is better because it allows for adjustment of the pinion angle, which i may need after the springs go on. Somebody please school me on this suspension jargen. Also, what's the difference between a 4link- 5link- and a watt's link rear suspenion set up? I have on 06 GT also and i think the S197's come with a 4, i'm just not sure what that means. I know it has a panhard bar and rear sway bar. I take it the foxes didn't come with them. Again....any help is greatly appreciated.

the torque boxes are where the lower control arms mount, there are 2 uppers, but contact the company because if you buy a panhard bar, lower control arms and torque arm along with subframes i believe you can eliminate the uppers!
Competition engineering makes torque box reinforcement kits,

Look up a tech article from 5.0 Mustang and super fords, in their january 2008 magazine about the Fox 500 project car, they do the whole rear suspension in there from Maximum motor sports including springs, shocks, torque arm, panhard bar, control arms, subframe connectors, and sway bar!

Hope this helps and good luck over their man!

the addition of a panhard bar does not allow for removal of uppers, they are still needed trust me I know, I have a MM rear suspension set up

yeah, the only way to ditch the uppers is to get a tourqe arm setup with the panhard bar as mentioned before...

the pan hard bar is used to help keep side to side motion from happening, as well as front to back as well

btw, be prepared to modify your exhaust if your running anything other than stock or a flowmaster catback...
