I am about to change my oil and I was just curious to see what u guys use and how does it work for your 5.0. I have a 92 vert with cobra intake gt40p heads 1.7 roller rockers thats about it no cam just got the car like that with a bunch of other tasteful mods. I was also wondering if you guys use any oil additives such as lucas,restore and so on. I was thinkin about motorcraft sythetic blend 10w30.

i use to use valvoline dino oil.... cheap crap at wal-mart.

i would leak about 1qt of oil every 1500-2000miles

i switched to mobil 1 full sythetic, and at 2500mile's only had to add about half to 3/4 a qt.... so just that in itself was worth the switch to me.

buy it in the 1gal jug at walmart.......

I'd just run 5 quarts of Mobil 1 & change every 3-4k miles...The synthetic blend only contains about 15% synthetic oil

I run Mobil1 in everything. I change oil every 5000 miles in my regular daily drivers and 2500 in the carbed cars. I use Mobil1 in my motorcycle and my lawn mowers as well. I buy it by the 55 gallon drum. I've been using Mobil1 since I saw a demo in 1975. I have had several vehicles that have exceeded 1/4 million miles on Mobil1 and still looked new inside. I don't see me switching anytime soon.

I just run castrol high mileage and a motorcraft filter, give her a change every 3000-3500 miles... 132XXX miles and still kickin

I use Napa 10w30 (its made by Valvoline). I use a Napa gold oil filter. It is made by wix. Wix filters are probably the best out there. I change my oil very 3k miles.

I run the Shell Rotella T 15-40 in ours and change it around ever 2500 miles or sooner if starts to smell to gassy.every thing else gets regular dino oil walmart in the beater and Valvoline in the other car and the shell in the truck. everything get changed between 3000 and 5000 miles
