transmission is a "Cobra" T5 rated at 370hp, was $750 + $250 core, so $1000, i have the core, so the transmission is only cosing me $750

was told that they have seen plenty of guys go into the high 10's with these transmissions, and should work great for me. only real worry is the STEEP first gear.
First gear ratio is 3.35, and with my 4.10 rear end, i think my 1st gear MIGHT be good till 20mph, idk.
so i gear swap might be in the future if it slows me down at the track.

i have all the other parts except the pedals (i have 3 local ppl im incontact with that have them, just trying to get the best price.), Shifter boot, and shift knob.

trying to decide if i want a cloth shift boot, and if i want a chrome shift knob, or all black shift knob.

thats really it other then ATF fluid, and such.

so in about 3 weeks time i should be able to start my swap!

CANT WAIT TO GET RID OF THIS STUPID AOD!!!!

just felt like sharing
Nice I cant wait to start ordering the goodies for my car. After the new ram air hood gets painted and installed on the S197, then its the 92's turn for mods

Are you going to take pics as you install the new parts? I hope so because that is very interesting to me and I like to learn as much as I can.

yea i always take alot of pictures.

tranny swap is pretty simple, and no real need for pictures, but im taking them anyway.

just ordered a custom shift knob, its going to be black on the bottom, and clear on top, and im sending the guy a bullet to put inside the knob.

its gonna cost about the same as any other shift knob, but its 100% custom, so its going to be awsome.

with my taxes im buying some roller rockers, installing thouse when it gets warm, and at the same time ill finally install the BBK shorty ceramic coated headers that have been laying around.

I think with that tall of a side wall they will fit on like a 7" to 9" rim. How about guys running 275's on those same rims....
