And I forgot to ask...could I find an 89 LX convertable trunk and replace my 89 gt one? Why? The OEM Luggage rack and lame OEM spoiler on the car are killing me. I want it nice and clean. What year notch or verts are interchangable trunk wise? Thanks again

I'm fairly sure any trunk from a 87-93 will fit right on, and I don't blame you for doing the swap lol.

as far as cams i'd wait until you can get some better heads, as with the stock heads you'll see very little, if any, gains. stock heads suck horribly. I'd reccomend a gt40 head and intake swap, you can find these on mid/late 90's model explorers and mountaneers at a junk yard with the 302. then get a little better cam like a comp or a custom cam. After that throw a turbo on it. the stock short block should be good for around 400 horses or so and you have factory forged pistons since its an '89. Then I'd reccomend 4.10's if you keep it auto or 3.73's if you swap it, and I'd deff recomend a swap to an aftermarket t5 like the astro or gforce or even a tremec tko for real power handling. Then throw a roll cage in the car as it won't be legal at the track lol.
Good luck.

yea, when i bought mine the title and everyone that had owned it said it was only 55kmiles, title and all said original miles.

pull the head's off the car and its obvious that its 155k miles. Dont belive that crap until you get into the motor IMO.

I also would like to change out the cheese grater tail lights and go with 90-93. Much of a wiring difference? Also....93 front bumper. Directly interchangable? Thanks again!

^87-93 GTs all have the same body panels/parts(tiny changes)

I think you're thinking about the 87-93 LX parts
