How much do you think?
With all the mods listed in my sig, how many ponies you guys think ill be putting out? i know the only accurate way to tell is dyno the car, or run it at the track. but if you had to guess, what do you think?
The cam ive got has more lift etc. than the stock cam in 5.0's but i made sure i got one that wouldnt do a number on my head springs, because i didnt want to replace them (kind of a budget build) so im sure ill get more performance out of it that stock, but its not a strip cam either. hah

You are very vaque on what you have. Compression ratio? A cam differance can really change HP output at the crank by moving the torque curve farther up the rpm range. I'm going to give you a off the cuff estimate at 210-255 at the rear wheels.

stock compression. nothing special

but not enough hp and the torque is worthless. you want to have as close of hp and tq together as you can. then you will see a big improvement. my nephew has a 89 5.0 all stock and put on a 150 wet shot and he ran a constant 12.5-6. now he has a mild cam without the nitrous and his car still runs good. but he lost all of his major hp gains and now he is back to being slow... torque isn't any good without horsepower!!!!!!

hahahahaha!!!! I had a 454 (496 actual cubic inch) Suburban tow vehicle that weighed over 6000 pounds empty. I carried gobs of tools, gas powered compressor, jacks, parts to the point the only room was in the front seat. It made a blistering 320 hp (low low low for a 454) but made 550 lbsft of torque at around 2600 rpm. With a 308 gear it ran the 1/8 in the mid 8's. I can tell you lots of 5.0 Mustangs and Z-28s got their feelings hurt by that truck that was well over twice the weight. My Suburban was running about 1 hp for every 22 lbs of vehicle where the Mustangs and Camaros were running about 1 hp per 13lbs. Big Torque/Less gear >Big Hp/More Gear

just like the T/A vs the 500+ hp honda on pinks way back when. honda had 18 car length lead with slicks and only beat the T/a by 1 or 2 car lengths. lolololololol. TORQUE FTW!!
