Well if I was gonna take the time to go to a junkyard I'd grab the upper and lower. And you don't think it'd make more of a difference spending the money on a cam rather then rr's?

and the 94-95 cobra cam was a piece of ****... you wont see DICK for improvement if you just slap an intake and 1.7's on.

If you do a set of P heads, the cam I listed, and a TFS street heat, Holley systemax2, or Edlebrock RPM2, you should see close to if not exceeding 300hp with a tune, iand supporting mods

Thanks Adder! Ya I have the money it's just I just wasn't planning on touching the engine for a while, that's all, but I think I'll take advantage of my grab. Yes, I will go with the cam you suggested, I trust your judgement. Would my stock rr's and tb be sufficient or should I get "full rollers" like fivepointoh said and maybe look to get a 65mm or 70mm tb?

the stock cam is perfect for any street car

it makes lots of low end power and peaks at about 5500 rpm's.

like already said, the gt40p's and the intake with 1.7 roller rockers will give you a nice aggressive street car with plenty of manners.. and it wont cost you as much. you change the cam you willl need pushrods, higher spring rates, etc..

actually dickhead, i mentioned a power level associated to bolt ons and a tune!

gt-40P heads. $200
Used, or cheap ebayed intake. ~$350 (i bought my NEW TFS Track heat for that much)
cam. $250
lifters (because i never use old lifters) $100
pushrods ~$75

so for ~$1000 you can put together a car that will make as much if not more power than the oh so beloved TFS top end kit ($2250 is it?)

besides... all you have to do is shop around. I'd sell him my cam and lifters for $200, so now its down to $850...

$850 for almost 300rwhp.... sounds like a ****ing deal to me

Sold! If I'm gonna be taking off the whole top of my engine it's like MJ said, I might as well go one step further and do the cam. I believe in doing things right the first time So there's no use in jackassing. So, because I've come to a conclusion that I will proceed with the full h/c/i will it be necessary to upgrade the Throttle body and Injectors?

at first, no, you can stick to the 19# injectors you have. But once you can afford it (instead of dropping alot of money at once) get yourself a 24# calibrated MAF, some 24# injectors and a 65-70mm tb

K thanks man, sent you some pm's. My next plan was originally to install a 6 pt. roll cage but I'll just put that aside and do this instead. It'll be nice to see a performance gain for once anyhow. Spent 23 grand on this car already without touching the engine so it'll be a nice treat for me.
