Default My build thread. 56K don’t try.

Well, as most all of you may or may not know, I have decided to start over with my car. This will be my official build thread. I’ll take pictures as I go and post them here. Some of my goals are to fill in the holes and slick out the engine bay, reinstall my A/C, convert my automatic car into a 5 speed, and clean up the underside of the car. I also have plans of getting rid of any wires that I don’t need in the engine bay. My goal with this is to move my starter solenoid to the passenger side of the car since most of the wires come out on that side anyway. I’m pretty much going to reroute all the wires so they are as hidden as possible.

I thought I would throw a few old pictures in to show any new people what she looked like when I first bought her.

The build starts.

The engine before I started building.

Here’s why it’s called FrankenStang.

I have so many pictures, but I won’t kill the website by trying to upload them all.

Here’s what it looks like after the new paint.

I know people are going to ask “why start over?” Well, this is why.

I’m very OCD when it comes to cleanliness and my car. I can’t stand to see it look like it does in the above pictures. That crap above is all thanks to it sitting in the paint shop for 10 long months. What a bunch of crap. Anyway, on to the next saga.

Here are pictures of my exhaust and the work I’ve done to it.

Bling Bling Baby.

Without further ado, here is where I am as of 28 February 2009.
The engine is out, and dirty as H E double hockey sticks.

This is after a little cleaning.

This is what it looks like with the brake pedal removed.

The engine bay.

AND, here is a sneak peek of another project I have in store for my car.

Well, I hope you all enjoy my build thread. I will post pictures over time as I finish things.

That was alot of sanding and buffing. No paint was used. I love stainless pipes.

LOL, I have ADHD. Believe it or not, It only took about 3 to 3 1/2 hours to do that to the exhaust. I would've done it faster if I could stay focused long enough on one project.
