idk, i think i will just pay him, or run it as it is.

$140 is alot to spend on a budget intake.

paint it! My TFS intake manifold is painted, and it looks great

clean it off real well, prime it with 2 coats, then 2-3 coats of color, and 2-3 coats of clear

I started off by using H.E.T 1705 to remove any oily residue, next I sprayed the area with Bulldog Adhesion Promoter, and then I painted it with Dupli-Color paint.

I would paint it and save the money. I have painted several intakes without any issue and it holds fine. You don't need high temp paint either.

i think paint it is!

what brand's?

ive panted some old rim's on my last truck by cleaning, 4 layer's of prymer, and like 8 layer's of paint, but i never cleared em. had the truck a few mth's and sold it for profit.

is shooting clear just like shooting paint?

need to get some strong tape that wont come off too.......

ill post up in a week or so when i paint it.

get some paint or laquer thinner and clean the crap outta it, tape it off. then prime it till its smooth, take a shotch brite "green" to it till its ready for paint, then spray about 3coats of color, and about 3 of clear, yea clear is kinda like paint if u wanna not really think about it, just take ur time..... the finished result is the effort you put in...

I just used VHT flat aluminum paint and baked my intake in my oven. I sprayed 5 coats of paint, baked it at 325 for 30 mins, let it cool for 30mins, 400 for 30 mins, cool 30 mins, 550 for 20mins, then let cool. It came out looking GREAT!!
