seriously do you think i care about looks. i could cut out a sheet of metal and did the same thing. and i tell you when you suck a bunch of water in your motor you will wish you didnt have the air filter all exposed.im not here for a looks contest. im making a mock up that will be made out of regular aluminum, but no one knew that because instead of looking at the idea for what its worth you are all worried about how it looks and crticized it before i posted what i was up to.i dont go around poping my hood at car show nor could i care less about showing off my engine bay. i take my car to the track not the fashion show.

I use a stock air box. Yes, a stock air box, no silencer, shields some heat I suppose, and the diameter of the hole where air is drawn ia massive.
BTW, whoever asked where his MAF went...it's an 86...
