Grand National's can get real nasty,and blow the doors off your butt before you get a chance.

like everybody is saying we need info on the car...after you win,and a dodge r/t rips by...do you want know how to beat that too?...stay off the streets! go to the track

YOU don't need a 200 shot and a prayer to beat a stock Grand national.......My good friend had one, bone stock with low miles, ran low 14's, I beat him numerous times when my ride was a mid 13 sec ride

Was the car a turbo car?

The 87 model ran 8.60s in the 1/8.

its the 87 gnx. I saw one like last week and couldn't think of the name.lol

Nothing beats real life experience but Wikipedia says 275hp, 360lb tq, 13.4 at 124 off the showroom floor.

I think you could just out drive the other guy.

The GNX is not the same as the GN..not sure if your infering my buddies was a GNX just because it was turbo, but that's not the case, GN'S are turbo as well......THe GNX was a lower production run/ alot more rare than the GN.

Most people with Bone stock GN's don't race them, They show them. I see lots of them in my area running 10's. We have some BAD GN's down here.

I think some nice tires and a H/C/I setup would put a stock GN in its place pretty nicely.
