it's obviously not 13.4 @ 124... my sources are showing 13.4 @ 104, not too shabby for a Buick

yeah, i think you are right, the car shuts off at 124

at that rate it would shut off in the 1/4

I have never ran a 1/4 mile but, I think my car could runs in the 13s if driven right

Doesn't the speedo only go up to 85 on the GN? Just curious.

I remember watching them go 8.50's in the eigth back when they were brand new and running on stock tires.
They can run 14psi which makes the motor like 462 cubes effectively.

I agree. I wouldn't think twice about running a stock one in my car OP, and I'm on 255/50/16's out back right now. They made 245BHP and about 350FTLBS in stock trim and were a fairly heavy car. Their launch procedure is pretty simple though, just powerbrake to get boost up and nail it. That's where it's critical that you don't step on your dick. Get your launch right and it should be close as you sit right now. This is all assuming the GN is stock. If it isn't you'll need considerably more in your arsenal like the others have said...

ok but lets fast forward a few years. grand nationals are all wrecked or mostly owned by people who modify them to run 11s and 10s. a shop up the street has a few they race and hes in the 10s. they are some sick cars. i would like to set up a 4.3l vortec with the GN turbo stuff in the GN car or a lil s10.
kinda like 5.0s there arent alot of bone stock ones around when it comes to GNs pontiac made a firehawk with the GN drivetrain lighter car too

That's a generalization, every friday night I see plenty of stock gn's at tt....notice I said "bone stock" = no 200 shot needed.....
