hows that? if most modded GNs are running 10s? and as said stock GNs are shown not raced
Yet again another generalization do you have facts/empirical data to prove that?? I doubt it, while there are plenty out there that could support the claim there are also plenty out there that can refute it, I'll make sure to take pis of the stock gn's at the next tt racing their rides for ya'...saw 2 a few weeks ago doing such

We have a good many Grand Nationals in my area. Not a single one that hits our tracks that I know of are 100% bone stock. Most, like Mustangs have to normal mods to very modded. The only true bone stock ones I see are in car shows. On the other hand I can't remember the last time I saw a 100% bone stock Fox Body at the track either. Now this is just an observation of my area. When cars get 20+ years old it's hard to find one bone stock but most of those examples are show cars that rarely ever see any real use.

I guess every area is different, there were two bone stock ones in decent shape at our local track a few weeks ago having fun

Yeah, I'm sure it happens it's just in our area is seems you are either die hard performance or a purist. Now thats not to say some bone stock ones don't hit the tracks in my area because I'm not there each and every night they are running and I'm splitting up between a basic three track circle. Just about all the ones I see are running low 12's or better. We have one guy out of Fayettville NC running 9's on a show quality GNX. I also saw him at Pinks All Out in Darlington and Concord. He could just about pass that thing off as a stock car. I'd love to have a bone stock GN.
I saw a red 10.5 grand national about a year ago at Huntsville that was really quick. It seems like it was on TV on one of those performace shows when they went to Huntsville.
Tim Lynch with the purple Stang won the class. No shizz, the mustang made it 330 down the 1/8 and sat on the rear bumper when the turbo kicked in. (this was in qualifiying)
here is the stang. The 10.5 race I saw, the rules didn't allow wheelie bars
