hey guys, are those Kenne Bell blowers for the 5.0s all they are cracked up to be? do they make decent power? I looked around on the website but them mentioned stuff about the results one of the guys from MMFF got, and I know that magazine kinda exaggerates sometimes...

just want a good honest truth, cuz they do look awesome and I love that good old supercharger whine vs. a blow off valve any day...

they dont quite sound the same on a pushrod motor as they do the mod motors.

power...mod motors seems to make out better with blowzilla's vs. our motors. pushrods just dont have the top end like those mod motors do.

I gotcha. power output at least decent? like if I were to throw one on a 331 or an hci 302 would the KB be even worth it or would I be better just running a vortech?

I do have to add that the KB looks badass

If you're looking for high HP numbers the KB is not your blower, but if you want a tq curve that looks like a table then you'll love it. Even though they're supposed to be better on the 4.6 engines I still want one in the worst way.

but yeah, I'm not one of those people who have to squeeze every last bit of power outta my motor...

I dont have a "magic number" lol the only time my car will see a dyno is when it gets tuned if my big heavy drop top will run 12s or 11s all day, I'll be happy...

KB's are great for street cars as boost and torque is abundant to say the least. And if you really want to crank up the volume do this.

flat torque curve is very good, gives you more power more of the time and the TQ doesn't drop off at the higher RPMs.
