I think the thing will be moving in a hurry once you get a powerplant in it. Weight and suspension is about 75% of moving a car down the track.

Funny though that you're doing the opposite of me lol. I've got the 25% that is the motor covered and more lol, and the 75% that's the car is about as close to stock as it can get =D.

Should still be fast though lol...guess we'll have to see!

LOL, you mean to say you're looking for 9's on pump gas??

With all it looks like you're doing with that car...my motor just might be able to pull it off!

=D

im shooting for 2700 with me in the car. im probably losing close to 100lbs alone off the front with the k-member and brakes, not including some of the lighter items thats going on it. i think it will be close it and it wont have that gutted interior look either.

My 82 was 2800/2850 or so with me in it. At the time I was 185lbs. I had the basic done for weight reduction...k member, race seats, sound deadener, aluminum heads...etc. I also had a cage in it as well. I went 10.70's@125 with a pump gas 347 back then with a crap assed 60'. If we put my current 347 motor in it, with the right supporting drivetrain...at 2700lbs lol, you bet your ass it'd run 9's =D.

I read about it in one of the 5.0 mags. I know you have to be sure to get the ends on completely straight or you will have problems.

On the add on note you could get a windage tray kit for $100 before you button up the bottom of the motor.
