Default What year did they start the 140mph cluster?

TItle...

Just wondering cause a guy is selling an 89 GT on Craigslist and he says it has 33k miles on it original, and in the pics it has a 140mph cluster. My 89 has the 85mph one. Does anyone know what year they started with the 140mph one?

89 Model year was the planned conversion into 140mph speedos, but the first 20 thousand or so cars off the line were given the 85 mph speedo to empty out the shelves of remaining stock.
