5.0L General Discussion This section is for non-tech specific information pertaining to 5.0L Mustangs.

So I went from a 5.0 to an LS1 camaro, recently something crazier!

And built Ford tough is meant for their trucks, nothing tough about my Mustang lol.
I agree! I'm a chevy guy with a `95 Mustang and I wouldn't do that swap either but it is the econmical way to build serious power! My cousin just bought a low mile 6 liter for a 1000 bucks! I think it is going to go in his `56 chev.

I love Mustangs and know and understand the power/potential/cost of an LS1 but my morals would prevent me from doing such a thing.

Yes I could've gone about this much more cheaply with a $300 iron 5.3L, but this motor happens to be a fully forged LS1. My main goals for the car were to be very light (still have to get it on a scale) with an excessive amount of power. Pissing of the die hard ford guys will just be a bonus. I'll take it to one ford show just for fun.

it works both ways, I've seen plenty of chevy rides with ford power plants as well as ford rides with chevy power plants in them, to each his own

An LS1 is an amazing motor, but you still make me sick.

Yes, coming from a guy who can't spell properly I'm the dumb one.

You're right though I should've stuck with an iron motor, out of date efi, relatively weak 5-speed trans. Not to mention, stock LS1 heads flow like 5.0 Trickflows.
