5.0L General Discussion This section is for non-tech specific information pertaining to 5.0L Mustangs.

So I went from a 5.0 to an LS1 camaro, recently something crazier!

You're right though I should've stuck with an iron motor, out of date efi, relatively weak 5-speed trans. Not to mention, stock LS1 heads flow like 5.0 Trickflows.
what is mispelled

Don't take it to heart buddy. Fact of the matter is, 100% of the people who flame you, will be those who can't outrun you. But, you're always gonna get guys who haven't matured enough to acquire a respect for all makes and models. You got a badass car. Just let the time slip do the talking...

Should be "TOO dumb to know"

Stock LS1s put down 310-315 at the wheels. My friend's Edelbrock H/C/I 357W puts down 306rwhp. Add heads/cam to an LS1 and you're between 400-460 depending on how aggressive you go. Less weight and more power sounds like a no brainer to me.

I'll admit he'll outrun the dogsh*% outta me but I say it's a disgrace if its a ford put a ford engine in it if it's a chevy put a chevy engine in it and so forth

Thanks, I appreciate it. I used to be brand loyal but I soon realized that different cars have different things to offer. My DD 2000 Civic gets 40mpg on the freeway and is unbreakable. My Camaro is being parted out but it was an all around package of comfort, handling, and power. The Mustang is now just GO BABY GO.

I wouldn't even drop it out of 6th and I'd still take you. I wouldn't call that gay.
