One last question does the portion of the fitting in the heater tube assembly just rotate inside then to be able to spin it out of the lower intake then?

#1 rule, Never make assumptions. Check to make sure you're lower intake gaskets match up right to the heads and lower intake. I use a bead of silicone/gasket maker under the small cork gaskets, and then put some more on top and plenty in the corners (normally where the leaks occur). Make sure to follow the proper torquing pattern and lb rate and you should be all set!

Yeah the instructions say to not use the cork (the Fel-pro kit I bought are rubber) front and back seals, just to use RTV or equivalent in liberal portions to seal it, I've got one fairly major issue already, the front driver's side bolt snapped off when I went to break it loose, so I'll have to address that likely with an EZ out.

Its pretty tight getting the heater tube back on so a 1 1/8" open end wrench for the reinstall would be very helpful as well. Just make sure you use pipe thread compound on the threads.
