Default Fox top speed

Just wondering if anyone has had their Mustang over 220 km/hr.
I have a 93 with the 220km/hr 135 mph speedometer.

Did a sweep down a brand new smooth as glass new section of highway. Circled back after seeing no heat hiding. Waited for a empty section with no other traffic and let her eat.

I have 3.73's and a 275 40 17 tire. I was above 4500 but below 5000rpm in 5th. It still seemed to be climbing in speed and rpm but the needle seemed to no go over 220km/hr.
Don't see a pin on that end of the speedometer.

It was a totally different car but I used to have a 79 New Yorker with a 440 swapped in.
Last number on the speedometer was 200km/hr 120mph but I could bring the needle way past the last number, past the trip odometer at the bottom and almost touch the pin under zero on the other side.

there is a nipple on the back of the speedometer that stops the needle from goin any further

I took my car when it was all stock up to 145 mph but the front wheels began to float.

At what speed is this pin or nipple you speak of at?

How the **** did we end up talking about Honda's in my thread. I don't like imports and I don't shop at Walmart.
