Hey guys, just wanted to make a thread and see how this transaction works out. Here is the fan that Im buying from JCON. JCON called it a flexalite, but I dont think were sure what kind of fan it is, maybe someone can chime in. We DO know , as JCON has stated, that this is a mustang fan.

Ill be buying from him, sending a m/o this weekend amount of $90 covers shipping to smyrna ga 30080. Pymt coming soon JCON, cant wait for the fan.

no way would i buy that! i think its crap. but thats just me. i got one for you though....
get a 97 ford contour dual electric fan. it fits like stock almost and it covers the entire radiator! and draws like 20 amps flows as good as the taurus if not better and its common at the junk yard.
i think you can use 97-2001 contour/mercury myst
some say 95-2001
got mine for $14 and the fan controller for $17 at autozone.
fan works too damn good to be honest.i had to get the thermostat set right or it was cooling the car off to much.

A couple questions about the Comtour fan. Do you have it wired so only 1 runs and the other kicks on with the A/C? How did you mount it?
Thanks
Frank

Actually, one off of a Mark VIII covers the whole radiator. Next time I'm at pull-a-part, I'm gonna pick up one of them, even though my 3.8 Taurus fan cools fine.

i saw the one originally posted on a sn95 s/c mustang with custom radiator it cover half the radiator, the over flow container covered the rest.
the contour fan is a inch shy on the bottom it will hang by a tab on the top of a stock 5.0 radiator. only mod to make it fit is cut off the tab that is near the upper radiator hose.it can neatly zip tied in. its a exact fit side to side. i mean exact.
i hear taurus fans can cause voltage spikes this doesnt. the mark fan is supposed to be the same at the contour fan, maybe better as far as cfm.3400cfm for the contour is what one place thinks.
yes if you get the torqflow controller from autozone theres a $34 one that controls each fan individually, and has a a/c hook up to trigger it and a built in relay as well. i used my own relay and the basic themostatic controller running both fans at full tilt.
so back to the thread.does the proform looks the same or something?

the jegs fan says 2800cfm, thats low compared to the taurus and mark and contour fans, but i dont really know what amount of cfm is too little either.
do you have a 3g alternator? you might want one if you run any fan. they can draw alot of juice.stock alt is only 75 amps a fan dras 20 or more amps usually.
by the way i noticed a differance losing the heavy azz clutch fan. jegs says 15hp gain. its more than that if i noticed it. underdrives are supposed to be 15hp i didnt notice a thing but better gas milage. a guy said he notice a big power differant, more than when he installed a cobra intake!
