Default Thinking about buying an 82

I just got some pictures from the seller and something seems weird about this floor pan. It doesn't look like my old 87's. it looks like there is and extra reinforcement or something. Anyone know?

That frame rail does look a little wierd but 79-82 did have some differences to them. Maybe that is one of them.

the other thing that strikes me as weird is that square tube that runs parallel with the frame rail is that stock?

Well if you do buy it be sure to get some subframe connectors on that thing pronto! Don't forget to get that underbody cleaned up so it doesn't get any worse either.

Yeah I am not sure how bad the rust is. It looks pretty solid from the pictures guess I will have to take a look in person when I can find the time to drive there.
