Buzzer, chimes, nagging old lady, and pesky grandchildren... learned to deal with and ignore them all!

Default Besides the obvious

I believe the original question was...how to disable the chime, and still have the key in the ignition. Lots of smart-alecs here LOL! "Learn to live with it" and "take the key out" are two answers that don't help.

I, too, would like to know which fuse, or where the actual plug is for the chime. I like to work on stuff with the door open and the radio on, without listening to the chime. So, which fuse is it? or, better yet, how to unplug it? Thanks.

Well, I know the "chime" on 88's is under the steering column kind of tucked up there. Held on with two of the torx screws. If I remember right it's just your standard plug with the things that keep it from pulling out on the outside. (whatever that style of plug is called, all over the car)
