Do you mean THE BUMPER? The bumper cover is the actual "GT" or "LX" body part that covers up the bumper. The bumper is the big fiberglass bar that goes across the front.

If that is what you mean. The only danger of not using it is less impact absorption from a frontal crash.
GTs have a support running along the bottom lip, my 86 GT even though its closer to an 87+ LX, still uses a bumper cover support bar

If you are referring to the fog light brackets/support/...whatever the hell GT's have....

No it will not hurt you. LX's don't have any of that garbage.

If you retain the GT bumper cover, the only thing you have to worry about is a flimsy bottom lip. But hey, the LX's have a flimsy bottom lip also.

Just don't go scraping on the street when you are changing a radical grade. Like 20 degrees to horizontal or somthing.

I just assumed a big rig tire as what else would he be talking about when he is worried about his car? You'll be fine, just holes where the fogs lights are suppose to be.

I just put the radiator back in and it appears the two pinholes i patched are holding. The bracket im talking about is the support bracket that attaches to the bumper cover. Im definitely getting full coverage soon, especially when i paint it.
