took my hood of earlier today to drive it to it's new home.
it looked sunny out and since i dont have a garage i left the car hoodless at home.
well on my way to the guys house it started raining, so i hurried back home to find my engine wet...
so im worried that the car won't start or that i possibly just ****ed it all up cause it got wet. thoughts?
edit: florida weather sucks balls

nope, just let the distributer dry, and why the fuk would you leave your car without a hood? around here it wouldve been gone in 2 minutes flat
it's a good neighborhood mostly folks in their 50's up. i went out to the car after the new hood was on and dried off somethings but i haven't fired the car back up since i left earlier before it monsooned

Think youre fine.. I took my hood once and had nowhere to park my car.. So i just went outside and put a bunch of plastic over the engine bay to keep the rain out.. It had to stay like that the rest of the night but when i woke up in the morning, i went out and the plastic had blown off and completely soaked the engine. It was a damn big storm that night with 50 mph winds. I just got an air compressor and blew all the water out of the tight spots and it was fine after.

It will be fine.you can pressure wash it. even if it was a down pour probably the worst case is corrosion. most connectors that are important have dielectric grease.only electronic componants like circuit boards etc, have major problems with water and corossion. the stuff that needs to keep dry is inside. you get it wet driving in the rain but your hot engine dries it fast. But if you want to sell it cheap for flood damage i'll buy it!! .if it starts, your good.
