Default 295/40/18 tire on notch

so i just bought my notchback back, and i was looking at some cars on car domain last night and there was a guy who had black deep dish bullitt rims with a 295/40/18 size tires on the back!!! Now can the notches hold a bigger rim and tire than the hatch backs cause i see notchbacks with bigger setups on a regular basis, more often than the hatchs. Do they have quad shocks, and how much inner fender well massaging would you have to do to fit these tires. My car currently has some sort of drag rims on it, not sure brand, i dont pick it up till the 3rd week of oct, but when i get i will be selling them on here for cheap, i want to go with the gt40 black with chrome lip, deep dish, so i need to know what am i looking at to get a 295 size tire on the back

If you look at the pics closely, the tire and wheel stick out of the fender. IMO, it looks terrible. Plus I can guarantee you they rub. I run a 10" wheel, 6.5" b/s and a 275/50/15 and they rub just a bit. So I know those 295 18's are rubbing.
