as i stated before, i didnt know what was up with my car.
what was done to it.
since i bought it i beat alot of cars,
srt4, 2002 GTs, and so on.
well i went to the track on saturday for a local test and tune at lapeer dragway.
it was sunny but pretty chilly.
i ran the best of a 14.5 at 97 mph.
but when i snapped second, i spun the whole thing of second. and had to feather it out to get into third.
it was my last run because the track shut down because of a coolant/water spill.
a guy behind was supposed to be running 11's and he ran a 13.
so you guys can kinda get the idea of the track quality.
as far as i know.
my car------
1995 Mustang-
origianlly v6 - but now the 5.0 swap.
T5 trans.
7.5 rear end(but i got an 8.8 - just waiting for winter :-))
full 2.5 exhaust, flowmaster 40 series, off road h-pipe - stock headers.
i have done the research, and my car either way, shouldnt run a 14.5
give me some ideas of what u guys may think is done.
thanks
joe

That cold weather condition wasn't helping anything out. Time to put the 8.8" rear end under the car and wait for spring.
BTW, 97MPH should be 13.70-.90 range in decent weather.........

umm idk but with reg street tires, and a 7.5 rear those times seem pretty accurate to me. without a stickier tire i doubt you could cut its much, maybe a tenth or 2 with a beter 60 ft time and some experience. get some gears and drag radials and 13's will be simple.

I can tell you never have been drag racing, my 92 when my wife runs it on street tires runs 14.3's @ 97..........THROW me in the seat and with a set of slicks I make the car run 13.70's @97-98 mph, over a half second better because I drive it harder and I launch it hard and make it hook up.
