Was your bumper the original soft bumper?

Should it be okay to do this with an aftermarket one, that's the harder black plastic?

Also... do you have any pictures throughout the process?

cut the bumper

test fitting

Here is is with the insert glued in and sanded flush

Started filling

primmered

painted

on the car done

thats about all there is to it. It took me about 3 coats to get the filler just right. The time definitly paid off, it looks factory.

I am sure you guys have all seen it, but if you want more pictures, here is a link to my build thread.

Mine was the factory bumper, but I think it would be just fine with the replacement bumper you have. The insert I put it was hard.

To everybody else, thanks for the complements! Just remember, the grass is always greener on the other side and you can always do what I did and just paint yours

Now I really hate the stock bumper on the Nyghtmare. LOL

You make a good point. I wasn't thinking about the insert being hard. What filler did you use? Just regular body fill like the dyna delite I have?
But amazing job!

I used a light weight body filler like bondo, but any kind of filler should work fine. Just don't make it too thick.

Thanks Pro
