You are looking at a very cheap set of heads for 700-800 alone. Then you would have to get the springs to match the cam another $100, and your cam $200.

You could go with a set of gt40p heads off of an explorer you can pick up pretty cheap for like 200-300 then a mild cam after that with springs. You wont be looking at any kind of crazy setup for $800 bucks. Save up a little more or go for the gt40p

that's WHAT your college classes give you, not me..........all that budget will allow is gt-40 heads and ots 169. dolla cam with matching springs and gaskets ect ect, IMO for the performance that'd deliver, you may not even notice it, and ls-1's would still eat you alive, I'd honestly save my money for better

Im in the same boat as you. Low on income but looking for a little more fun factor on the street and maybe show up a few ricers. A set of GT40s and an off the shelf cam (TFS stage 1, Ive been told steeda makes a cam that works well on our cars) since you have a 95 i would also look for a 94-95 cobra intake. If you shop around you could get all that for under a grand. maybe around your price. GT40s arent the greatest heads but for the price they have to be better than the awful e7s right?
