Default how to install a starter

hey there my mechanic bailed on me and have been struggling to put car back together. right now im trying to put my starter on my 91 mustang. i only know of one wire coming from the selinoid to the starter is that power or ground? im assuming i need more than one wire since all electrical stuff usually has a power and ground to work. any other wires? Its the stock starter on a 91 not a 93 mini. starter. also if you can explain in detail were they come from and connect to. pics would be a plus thank you. thanx in advance
ps. i dont need advice on how to get to the top bolt of the starter , i got that part down. lol

once its in, you should have a big wire from the left side of the solenoid to the starter post at the base of the starter. there is no ground, its grounded internally via the casing.

the cable is the power, ground is the block, when you bolt it on

well then i have done it correct. when i put my key in the ignition nothing happens. i turn the key and nothing happens like i have no power. kind of the same symptoms of a dead batt. the lights turn on the dash and all electronics work in the car, but when i turn the key to on position i dont here the fuel pump prime and does not crank. im thinking i gorgott to connect an engine ground or power wire(s). does any one have any ideas? im pretty sure its not the pump evrything was working before the engine swap
