Well, if he has to ask what oil to use, most likely nothing.

Maybe the Corvette Killer name is just his project name. You know, it's going to be a extremely fast when it's done.

Back to the topic- Amsoil Synthetic or Mobil 1 Synthetic. Can't tell you what weight to run- stick with the original unless you feel that the bearing and ring clearances have worn to the point that you need a thicker oil.

You're gonna have to do alot more than me to live up to that name...lol.

I would just use regular oil. I plan on using synthetic when i have the engine rebuilt.

^+1 i would stick with regular. synthetic can be too thin no matter what oil u buy. but if u want synthetic id go mobile 1.

yes, its just the project name. right now its a completely stock 87 GT with a small cam. but ive been on latemodelrestoration.com all day ordering parts. here is what is to come in time to make her a "vette killer":

crate motor from ford racing
trick flow top end kit (but a slightly bigger cam that comes with the kit)
shorty headers
vortec supercharger
9" rear end (3.73 gears)
new tranny and upgraded clutch but havent figured out what tranny to go with
ordered new steering components and racing shocks and struts today

alot more to come in time though

I've always used Castrol 10W40 with no problems Still holds 35psi @ 165K miles idling.
