I used duplicolor filler primer and some of their semi-gloss ford engine enamel paint on all my trim. Still looks new 4 years later.

They can be restored.

I used Sikkens Rally black I got from my paint supplier. It looks like factory and is holding up great. It was about $10 a rattle can. I would use it again, sprays better than any other spray paint I have ever used.

Go to your local auto body supply store and buy the SEM Flat black trim paint. All you need to do is scuff the moldings and paint them with this.It will bit into the metal for you it's very good stuff.

On the quarter windows I've seen guys paint those moldings and also epoxy them, the deterioration usually comes back over time.

We do sell the quarter window covers. The ones that we carry fit very snug, there are two sets of these on the market we carry the ones that look color correct and fit better.

I know because I was involved with helping the manufacturer to mock these up and make adjustments to the mold. Here's a link to those if you need them.

87-93 Mustang Quarter window moldings

Hope this helps yah,

Tony
