Default Taking off power steering pump questions

Is it possible to run a mustang without the power steering pump? I had a third gen firebird that i ran like that for about a year.. If i was to do it on the mustang what would i do with the hoses? Take them off and plug the holes? And yes i know i would need to buy a shorter belt...

If I posted every little problem or part that didn't just bolt in that I fixed on my own, they'd have them deleted. I usually don't have time to wait for a forum so I figure it out. I piece of tubing and hose clamps....HARD....
