MY TB is an Edelbrock/BBK unit. I'll have to check it too. Haven't had any drivability issues yet.

The whine you hear with the throttle body is easily fixed with a little work with some sand paper on the edges of the butterfly.

as long as there is oil in the motor, it will run lol.

when i did the topend gaskets on my buddies 89 we found 3 cracked pistons and it still ran fine... just made lots of noise lol

ya did all that but the sandpaper on the butterfly was for the stickiness the whine went away when i bored out the iac opening, well the side there the iac mounts up. it was all rough and didnt flow smooth at all.. but then the post the butterfly mounts to turned on its own a little w/o the throttle cable moving.. POS

mine was too but if you dont have any issues you prob wont. either it will stick and whine or it will be fine. this one that was on my buddys car didnt make andy noise and worked just fine til that butterfly mount broke
